How do I change the default system printer and does this have any effects other than directing system print jobs to a different printer?

EXPERT RESPONSE
The system value you want to change is QPRTDEV. Type the command WRKSYSVAL QPRTDEV. From that point you can display or change the value. And no, the only effect is changing where system print jobs go, users will still, by default, print to the output queue specified as the default in their user profile.
